William Clifford Eckler

William C. (Bill) Eckler, age 68 of Ripley, Ohio died Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Adams County Hospital in Seaman, Ohio. He was employed in concrete construction, was a member of the Local 265 Laborers Union and was a United States Army veteran. Bill was born on July 19, 1939 in Ripley, Ohio the son of the late Jack Harley and Ruth (Berman) Eckler. He was also preceded in death by one son - William Clifford Eckler,Jr. - two sisters, Patricia Kiskadden and Dora Mullikin and three brothers - Johnny, Glen and Corky Eckler.

Mr. Eckler is survived by his wife of nearly forty-three years - Gerrie Ann (Highfield) Eckler; eight children - Rick Maynard and wife Sandy of Mt. Orab, Ohio; Kelly Thatcher and husband Dickie of Ripley, Ohio; Helen Richey of Ripley, Ohio; Mark Kiskadden and wife Chandra of Plumville, Kentucky; Lori Eckler of Georgetown, Kentucky; Sandy Bonar and husband Dale of Georgetown, Ohio; Billy Kiskadden and wife Tyann of Hamersville, Ohio and David Eckler of Ripley, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister - Betty Green of Ripley, Ohio and two brothers - Jim Eckler of Manchester, Ohio and Danny Ramsey of Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. David Wirth will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery with veteran services by the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post #367.
