William Dale (Sr.) Hornsby

William Dale Hornsby, Sr., age 77 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, July 4, 2016 at his residence. He was a heavy equipment operator and a United States Navy Korean War veteran. He was born November 15, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Hornsby was preceded in death by his wife – Eleanor Hornsby in 2004, one son – William Dale “Tootie” Hornsby and one sister – Virginia Davis.

Mr. Hornsby is survived by six children – Roger Starrett and wife Donna of Winchester., Ohio, Rob Starrett and wife Dona of Georgetown, Ohio, Sandy White of Maysville, Kentucky, Donald Hornsby of Maysville, Kentucky,   Virginia Shannon and husband Dane of Georgetown, Ohio and Virgie Luck and husband Chris of Hamersville, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Thursday. Interment will be in the Pisgah Ridge Cemetery near Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Ohio Veterans Home, 2003 Veterans Boulevard, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
