William Carl Lucas, age 85 of Ripley, Ohio, died Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Hospice of Southwest Ohio in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was retired from the former Browning Manufacturing in Maysville, Kentucky. He was a United States Army Korean War Veteran and a member of the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post 367 of Ripley, Ohio. Mr. Lucas was born February 9, 1931 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Charles and Ruth (Wuerdeman) Lucas. He was also preceded in death by his wife of fifty years – Gladys Marie Lucas; four brothers – Charles “Bud”, Robert, Paul and Jack Lucas; two sisters – Maggie Milligan and Patsy Ernest; two half-sisters – Dorothy Massie and Evelyn Lucas.
Mr. Lucas is survived by one daughter – Michele Brown and significant other Bobby Ruth of Madeira, Ohio; one grandson – Brandon Brown of Madeira, Ohio; two step-grandchildren – Austin and James Ruth of Madeira, Ohio; one brother – Donnie Lucas of Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Thursday. Interment will follow the funeral service in Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio with military honors provided by the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post 367 of Ripley, Ohio.
