Al Volkman

Morris “Al” Allen Volkman, age 70 of Mt.Orab, Ohio died Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Anderson Mercy Hospital in Anderson Township, Ohio. He was a retired Detention Officer for Yakima County, Washington, a United States Vietnam War Army veteran, retired Army National Guard, lifetime member of the VFW Post #118 in Yakima, Washington and a member of the Free People Church in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Al was born April, 20, 1952 in Shelbyville, Illinois the son of the late Morris Dale and Phyllis Elaine (Dobson) Volkman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother – Rick Volkman.

Mr. Volkman is survived by his loving wife of 30 years – Pam (Howard) Volkman who he married June 5, 1992; three sons – Jason Volkman of California, Jeffrey Volkman of Washington and Jacob Doney of Mt.Orab, Ohio; five step-children – Duane Doney, Michelle Jensen and husband Curt, Gabriel Doney and Christopher Doney all of Washington and Matthew Doney of Mt.Orab, Ohio; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; four brothers and sisters – Janice Stinike and husband David of Florida, Paula Hagfors and husband Russ of Oregon, Randy Volkman and wife Debbie of Washington and Dale Volkman and wife Pam of California; five brothers and sisters-in-law – Michael Howard and wife Debra of Washington, Jackie Kirk and husband Don Paul of Lake Waynoka, Ohio, Stephanie Buckner and husband Charlie of Wyoming, Ohio, Patsy Spiller and Bobby Stroop of Hillsboro, Ohio and Nikki Spiller and husband Chris of Ripley, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, memorial services will be held at a later date. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
