Carrol Lynn (Bud) Yockey, age 88 of Georgetown, Ohio died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Yockey was retired from the United States Air Force. He joined the Air Force in 1951 and was stationed in Las Vegas, Germany, Alaska, Georgia and spent most of his time at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois as a hospital inspection officer. He was a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and was discharged in 1971 at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Bud was born January 29, 1932 in Ash Ridge, Ohio the son of the late Wilford and Lulu (Weis) Yockey. He was also preceded in death by one sister – Sandra Hitchcock.
Bud is survived by his wife of forty-nine years – Jeanette (Paeltz) Steinman Yockey; one sister – Dorothy Barlow of Dayton, Ohio; one step son – Terry David Steinman and wife Michele and one step grandson- Curtis Barnett; nephew – Kevin and niece - Nancy.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Arnheim. Ohio. Scott Hennig will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
