Dorothy Current Obituary

Dorothy E. Current, age 87 of Georgetown, Ohio died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. She worked for the former Cincinnati Shoe Factory in Georgetown, Ohio, a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ in Georgetown, Ohio and loved flowers and gardening. Dorothy was born May 1, 1934 in Williamsburg, Ohio the daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred (Potrafke) Carter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers – Donald, Lawrence and Earl Carter and her best friend and sister-in-Christ – Betty Jefferson.

Ms. Current is survived by two children – Gary York of Feesburg, Ohio and Carla McMullen of Florida; several grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and numerous dear friends and extended family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
