Gabe Farrell

Gabe Farrell, age 82 of Hamersville, Ohio died Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Arden Courts of Anderson in Anderson Township, Ohio. He was a retired auto worker for General Motors and loved the outdoors. Gabe was part of a large extended family whom he loved dearly and a Christian man who served the Lord faithfully. He was born June 23, 1937 in Kettle Island, Kentucky one of ten children born to the late Gabe and Mary (Deaton) Farrell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers – Doug and Sam Farrell and three sisters – June Napier, Daisy McGuffey and Janet Arnold.

Mr. Farrell is survived by his wife of 63 years – Connie J. (Gifford) Farrell whom he married April 14, 1956; three children – Elaine Sams and husband Terry of Sardinia, Ohio, Troy Farrell and wife Amy of Georgetown, Ohio and Matt Farrell and wife Debbie of Hamersville, Ohio; ten grandchildren – Jessie Davis and husband Jake, Jeremiah Sams and wife Mandy, Joshua Sams, Jamie Ogden and husband Tyler, Troy Farrell, Jr., Zac Farrell and wife Casey, Jake Farrell and wife Katie, Luke Farrell and wife Kaitlyn, Ethan Farrell and wife Jenna and Sarah Farrell; eighteen great grandchildren; two brothers – Stanley “Duke” Farrell and John Farrell and wife Linda all of Georgetown, Ohio; two sisters – JoAnn Crew and husband John of Lebanon, Ohio and Linda Frazier of Hillsboro, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Mt.Nebo United Methodist Church, 11693 State Route 774, Bethel, Ohio 45106. Pastor Ken Harmon will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Friday at the church. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home is serving the family.
