Jacqueline Kay Shropshire

Jacqueline K. “Jackie” Shropshire, age 54 of Amelia, Ohio and formerly of Ripley, Ohio, died Friday, July 3, 2015 in Shelbyville, Kentucky.  She was a Deli Manager for over twenty years, a member of the Beebe Chapel CME Church in Ripley, Ohio and an adopted mother to many for whom she babysat.  Jackie was born February 10, 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Jack Paul and Cleo (Bryant) Barnett.  She was also preceded in death by one sister – Kimberly Barnett.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband of thirty four years – Anthony E. Shropshire; two children – Eric Barnett and wife Ty of Shelbyville, Kentucky and Shawnte’ Broadus and husband Daniel of Milford, Ohio; five grandchildren – A.J. Higgins, Amias Taul, Andre Barnett, Kierionna White and Deven Broadus; one sister – Violet Barnett of Cincinnati, Ohio and her best friend – Kathy Stamper of Aberdeen, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.  Rev. James Settles will officiate.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday.  Interment will be in Red Oak Cemetery near Ripley.
