Jean C. (Heuerman) Shannon

Jean Clift Shannon, age 94 of Georgetown, Ohio died Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing and Rehabilation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. She was a homemaker, a former secretary for the Brown County Senior Citizens Board, a former treasurer for Grow Inc., a member of the Brown County 169 Board and a dedicated volunteer for the Brown County MRDD and the Brown County Senior Citizens. Jean was born April 12, 1925 in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of the late William and Geneva Heuerman. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Shannon, Jr. in 2002, one grandson – Tommy Wharff and one brother – William “Bill” Heuerman.

Mrs. Shannon is survived by two children – J. Michael Shannon and Kimberly Gunter of Owensville, Ohio and Linda Jean Shannon of Georgetown, Ohio; six grandchildren – J. Christopher Shannon of Owensville, Ohio, Kevin W. Shannon and wife Kristin of Mowrystown, Ohio, Brittany L. Gunter and Darren Owens of Goshen, Ohio, Christina DeVelvis and Delroy Leckey of Cincinnati, Ohio, Joseph DeVelvis of Boulder, Colorado and Corey Wharff of Williamsburg, Ohio; four great grandchildren – Curtis Owens and Kayla, Kelsey and Kallie Smallwood; one great-great grandchild – Blakelynn Bingham; one sister-in-law- M. Heuerman of Arizona; two nieces – B. Heuerman of Arizona and Kathy Gradjelick of New York and one great nephew – Gilligan.

There will be no services. Private burial will held at the convenience of the family in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
