Mary Bick Obituary

Mary T. Bick, 95, died on April 4, 2024 at Kenton Pointe Assisted Living in Maysville.  She was born on Aug 26, 1928 in Ripley to Robert and Clara Spiller Martin.

Mary graduated from Ripley High School and later moved to Cincinnati where she married her husband Joe Bick and they raised their two children, Roger and Barbara.

After living in Cincinnati for almost 20 years, Mary and Joe moved back to Ripley on the Martin family homeplace where Mary was born.

Mary thoroughly enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time on the farm. Mary was also an avid swimmer and for many years went to the Maysville YMCA pool every day.  One of her greatest points of pride was taking flight instruction and flying an airplane.

Mary’s husband, Joe, preceeded her in death in 2018.  Mary is survived by son Roger (Melody) Bick of Fairfax Station, VA  and daughter Barbara (Ray) Campbell of Ripley, two granddaughters, Dr Jen Bick of Winchester, VA and Sara Beasley of Edwardsville, IL, and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Red Oak Presbyterian Church near Ripley, Ohio.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M. Sunday at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley.  Private interment will be in Red Oak Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mary to Hospice of Hope where she received stellar care or to the Red Oak Presbyterian Church where she attended for many years.
