Rachel Berneda (Long) Roades

Rachel Berneda Roades, age 95 of Mt. Orab, Ohio died Friday, June 14, 2019 at her residence. She was a homemaker, member of the Mt. Orab Church of Christ and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Rachel was born June 20, 1923 in Mt. Orab, Ohio the daughter of the late Walter Harold and Cecil Leona (McMullen) Long. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband – Donald Roades; one son – Jerry Roades; one brother – Richard Long and one sister – Maude Long.

Mrs. Roades is survived by her children – Gerald (Joyce) Roades of Kings Port, Tennessee, Paul (Darlene) Roades, Mark Roades and Lisa (Lori) Roades all of Mt. Orab, Ohio; two sisters – Jane Hirons and Naomi (Paul) Lindsey all of Mt. Orab, Ohio; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and special caregiver – Anita of Williamsburg, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Joe Strunk will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt. Orab Cemetery in Mt. Orab, Ohio.
