David Shane Hampton, age 50 of Mt.Orab, Ohio died Thursday, August 20, 2020 in Ghent, Kentucky in a work related accident. He was the owner and operator of DDX Trucking Company, a United States Marine veteran and a member of the Brother Hood MC. Shane was born January 17, 1970 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of David Hampton and wife Dessie of Ripley, Ohio and the late Diana Latham. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister – Kristin Hampton and paternal grandfather - Charles Hampton.
In addition to his father, Mr. Hampton is survived by his wife – Raejean (Arszman) Hampton, whom he married May 3, 2013; one daughter – Sierra Boone of Loveland, Ohio, three step-sons – Michael Arszman of Batavia, Ohio, Shane Funk and wife Ashley of Milford, Ohio and Tony Funk of Milford, Ohio; one granddaughter – Arianna Huff; two step-grandchildren – Lillian and Shane Funk; one sister - Paula Patrick and husband John of Middletown, Ohio; one brother – Josh Hampton of Ripley, Ohio; paternal grandmother – Beatrice Hampton of Ripley, Ohio and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Red Oak Cemetery near Ripley, Ohio.
