Raymond Lee “Pete” Puckett, age 80 of Georgetown, Ohio died Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman, Ohio. He was the maintenance supervisor for the former Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio and a United States Marine Veteran. Pete was born July 28, 1937 in Russellville, Ohio the son of the late David Anderson “Dewey” and Florence (Rishforth) Puckett. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years – Carol Lee (Stratton) Puckett in 2016, one infant daughter – Rhonda Lynn Puckett, one son – James Anderson Puckett, one daughter-in-law – Carol Marie (Birch) Puckett, five brothers – Leslie, Arthur, Floyd, Donald and Carl “Butch” Puckett and one sister – Dorothy Derickson.

Mr. Puckett is survived by one son – Charles Ray Puckett and wife Lisa Ann (Meyers) of Georgetown, Ohio; two daughters – Susan Rae Puckett and fiancé Rodger Eagle of Georgetown, Ohio and Teresa Marie Newberry and husband Garry of Hamersville, Ohio; six grandchildren – Brian Puckett of Georgetown, Ohio, Laura Puckett and fiancé Matthew Rust of Amelia, Ohio, Jeromy Schmidt and wife Lianne of Blue Ash, Ohio, Jessica Barnett of Georgetown, Ohio, Joshua Newberry and wife Katelynn of Georgetown, Ohio and Jacob Newberry of Hamersville, Ohio; many great grandchildren; one sister – Gladys Hall of Hillsboro, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Mark Rayner will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M – 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 25, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio with veterans services by the Carey-Bavis American Legion Post #180 of Georgetown, Ohio.
