Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. He will truly be missed. He was such a wonderful person and friend. A lot of great memories of him. We really enjoyed all his stories when we would stop in at the Diner and really enjoyed him stopping in at our office. He always had the biggest smile. Rest in peace our dear friend. So very sorry to learn of the death of Donnie. We were team mates on about every sports team at St.Michael and Ripley High. He was a tough competitor and hated to loose, no matter what. My belief is that he has won in this struggle also. I always looked forward to seeing Donnie at the restaurant when ever we were in town for a visit and more than likely, he would buy breakfast. He will be missed by all who knew him and we will remember him in our prayers.

To all the kids, like you I am sad
He went home on the birthday of my dearly missed dad.
Donnie happened to be, part of who I am,
My first speeding ticket, boy I made that cop mad....
He looked just like Jack, it was clear as day,
But when he smiled he glowed, and there stood Mae.
Think of his blessings, the prayers sent your way,
See with your heart, he'll be there every day.
I have comfort in knowing, there's no Clay City pass,
To compare to God's ride, he's home at last.

Anita, I remember wondering up on that back porch with my binky, Mae straight ahead, like a blueish green smock (duster), beige (stiched) moccasin slippers smiling, top of her toes, the slippers had like sparkles on the top of her toes, I then looked to the left, through that door, seen Jack's sweet little mother n law smiling too. Remember mom, dad, Ms Folmer saying how wonderful Jack Haitz was to take care of his mother n law like that. Jack got out his mortar board & laid a cornerstone in my heart, to enable me to complete my toughest test. This creator is amazing. (Thanks mom, your last gift was the best)

Ditto Shirley. To a 3-5 y/o in a sandbox......Jack pulling them trash can lid sized snapping turtles out of that old beige Plymouth wagon.................. I thought Jack Haitz was Zeus slaying dinosaurs. NEVER forget that.
