Dear John,
Even though it's been more than 40 years ago, I remember our productive professional relationship at Goodwill very well. I think you helped many persons living with disabilities have a better quality of life. Your service there, and to our country, is deeply appreciated.

Only knowing Jack for a relatively short time, I celebrate his intelligent, warm soul. He was a good friend to my Dad, Jesse Walter Bentz, and my late Aunt Sis, Mrs. James Theroux (his cousins), staying in touch with them by phone, and he visited my own home first for Mom and Dad's 70th wedding anniversary (We still have the lovely note Jack sent Dad at my mother's death nearly two weeks later) and last for Christmas 2013. One of my finest memories of Jack was as we--his nephew Robert, Jack, Dad, and I (meeting Margy there)--drove to Madison, where we visited some "old haunts" of both Dad and Jack, who shared many memories on the trip.

I cannot remember the year I first got to know Jack--perhaps within the last five years, nor can I estimate the number of phone calls (too few, I'm afraid) where we talked about everything from the Cincinnati Shakespeare Theatre's Hamlet to Jack's ball room dancing days, but of this I am certain:

To know Jack Wilson was my honor; he enriched the hearts of our family.

Always the wit and intelligence and great advice. A most handsome gentleman with such great creative ideas and manners. He spent so much time with our family and gave us the greatest of all gifts, his presence.
He gave me a white wool blanket from the Marine Corp with my birth year and the station of Camp Pendleton, Oceanside California , told him was always so cold in winter and cherished the blanket most of my life. and my children Kelley and Jacob lived in Oceanside, California n 2001, I felt so upset about 911 he 's the first one I called and he comforted me, we all adored him.
He attended my mother's funeral and held me very close and hugged me with such deep warmth and understanding, there will never be another like you Jack. You were one and only you, love to remember your smile and your words of wisdom.

My favorite memory is going to Disney World with my Grandpa and his brother Jack for my 21st birthday. Jack was such a funny guy and so easy going. Jack had tremendous influence in many of the decisions I made about my education and travels. I am thankful he was in my life.
