Louis “Dickie” Rockey, age 72 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. He was a welder for the Brighton Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio, a United States Vietnam War Army veteran, a volunteer for the Georgetown Fire Department and EMS for nearly 50 years and currently serving as the Assistant Fire Chief and a driver for the Georgetown EMS, a member of the St. George Catholic in Georgetown, Ohio and a member of the VFW.  Mr. Rockey was born April 13, 1943 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Harry and Hazel L. (Wallace) Rockey.

Mr. Rockey is survived by his wife – Charolet (Riggs) Rockey, whom he married August 1, 1970; two sons – Joe Rockey and wife Julie of Georgetown, Ohio and Darrell Rockey of West Union, Ohio; two daughters – Kelly Peskin and husband Scott of Georgetown, Ohio and Lisa Tomlin and husband Kes of Maryland; nine grandchildren – Blake and Kate Rockey, Jacob and Emma Lee Rockey, Trevor Tomlin and wife Destiny, Jessica and Kylie Tomlin and Abbie and Ian Peskin and one brother – David Rockey and wife Jean of Georgetown, Ohio.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Ted Kosse will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio will military services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 of Georgetown, Ohio.
