My condolences to the family. I live in Xenia and am a former student of Sandy's from 1965 until about 1968.
I kept a scrapbook/diary written when I was 8 years old about Sandy and my experiences as a twirler back then. I had planned to send her a copy of it some day.
I am lucky to have been her student. She was the best teacher. Not only baton teaching, she was a great influence. She also encouraged me, which meant a lot to a young child.

We are grateful that we spent so many wonderful hours in the delightful company of Sandy and Bob. It was a privilege to witness the love they shared and to see how much they added to the lives of all who knew them. We will never forget the fun and laughter we shared at the Renaissance Faire each year. They were a kind of answer to anyone who thinks that love is only for the young; their love renewed our faith in the Supreme power of a Love shared. We will miss you,, Sandy. We can only guess at the depths of Bob's loss. We extend our sympathy to him and her family.
