Walter was an unforgettable man. His dedication to his family, his country and his God were what I noticed first about him. Always willing to teach what he knew (which was a vast amount) about gardening, bees and well, almost anything that I asked him. Marlene, you and the family are in my prayers. May God's peace and comfort be an overwhelming presence during this time and always. Death is a comma, not a period.

Much love,
Lela

My heart breaks for the entire Kress family and I just want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I know how very special he was to everyone of you and you to him.I always felt Walter was one of the backbones of the community and especially his family. He served his country and and wore that uniform proudly! A special condolance to my two special friends Marlene and Amy. You both hold a special place in my heart and I'm praying for God to hold your hand and walk beside you in your days ahead. God's blessings to all of you.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Walter. Although we were not close, close friends, I graduated from Sardinia High School in 1962 and we knew each other for years and years and he always had a good word to say for me and I always felt that he was like that with everyone - in other words, there were no strangers to him. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
